Do I need to know Dutch? +

Not for studies if you pick an English-taught Masters. Useful for daily life but Dutch people speak excellent English. Most students do not learn Dutch during studies.

What about housing in Amsterdam? +

Extremely competitive. Many universities offer first-year housing or guidance, but you often need to find your own from month 6. Eindhoven, Groningen, Maastricht are easier.

How does the Orientation Year work? +

Zoekjaar is a 1-year residence permit after graduation. You can work any job, search for career roles, or start a business. Most Indian students transition to a Highly Skilled Migrant role within 6 to 9 months.

Is the Netherlands affordable? +

Tuition is lower than UK but living costs are similar to UK (Amsterdam is expensive). Total Masters cost runs INR 25 to 35 lakh, comparable to mid-tier UK options.
